I saw a Metro/Firefly/Swift yesterday. It was a generation newer though. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of that generation. Especially a convertible.

I’ve got find memories of those. My ex had a Geo Metro convertible that she bought new. No ac, 3 cylinder, manual transmission. It was actually a fun little car.

About a month ago. Actually I almost bought two of them for a grand total of $250 about a year ago. In hindsight, I’m really glad I passed on that.

There’s one in my town. I see it every now-and-then in the grocery store parking lot. It’s the only car in town that makes the Miata look huge.

Just a month or so ago. It was in a scrap yard, so I’m not sure if that counts...

Same as the U.K, I don’t recall ever seeing the convertible. They carried on making the 3 & 5 door until 2002, so there are still a reasonable number about. If they didn’t rot so badly there would be a lot more left- the mechanicals were incredibly durable.

Yes, as the Justy. Most of them were 4x4, but they are much rarer than the Suzuki version.

One of my high school buddies had one back in the day. We drove it round trip from Seattle to Minneapolis and back once summer. It was a fun little car and as a top down runabout it worked just fine.

I’m going to also say 1998. I was dating a girl that had one. I was willing to overlook the Geo, because she was in amazing shape (she was on a soccer scholarship). Unfortunately, it only lasted a short while. I will never forget that body...
