Some photos I took last weekend on the west coast of the west coast.
Amphitrite Point Lighthouse, built in 1915
This is a shipwreck on Big Beach in Ucluelet, the identity of the ship is unknown, but it’s probably from the mid to late 1800s.

The west coast looks great, I should go there sometime (not this time around though, as time and money are short). It’s a bit of a shame Canada is too big a country to see all of it in the 4 months I’m here.

I highly recommend it. Canada is mind-blowingly big, there’s too much to see even in a whole lifetime, unless maybe you never worked and spent all your time finding new places.

Don’t think I’ve been to Ucluelet since I was nine. I really want to do the West Coast Trail sometime. My mom talked about doing it when we got older but then we moved off the Island when I was ten. It’s a bucket list item for sure though... Just takes serious advance planning.

Amusing that the sun seems like a memory already.

Ugh, I should really make it out to the island more

Are you still in BC?

I love it over there. I’ve been thinking more and more about moving to Victoria

Almost but not quite. Only about 25km east on 16. But that’s a recent change... I’ve mostly been in SK, MB, and Ontario in the 16 years since the move.

Same, my wife’s job just got relocated there, so it would be easy. But there’s not a lot of higher paying insurance firms there for me.

Oh yeah, that definitely would make that easier, at least other than getting work for yourself.
I’m likely gonna be getting into set dec work next year, which necessitates being near Vancouver. But my other idea is to get my Class 1. Driving truck on the island would be a lot nicer than in metro van...
