One thing I like about my job is that most employees own firearms and we go shooting usually once a month. This is especially true in the parts department where we all are avid shooters and talk guns a bit. Well today I got my Wilson Combat goodies for my Beretta 92FS.
Springs, grips, and trigger
Well I installed everything but the extractor and firing pin return spring since I needed a punch and more time than my lunch allowed.
The short reach trigger is nice and I really like the look and feel of the new cherry grips. They are so much better than the slick black plastic ones that come stock.

Beretta 92 with short trigger pull and on which everything fits and isn’t sloppy? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY

Very pretty. Once I make a little bit more I’m going to invest in 4 or 5 more guns, all pretty affordable. A Judge, an AR, a pump shotgun(I have an over/under), a 9mm for my wife, and then some kind of nice 45 cal like this or a 1911. A big, heavy gun is just such a pleasure to shoot.

Actually I didn’t find it too sloppy to begin with, but just wasn’t great. I need to do the trigger bar too, but I didn’t want to spend all that money at once.
Plus now the trigger and guide rod are both metal instead of plastic

I’m mostly goofing on my own experience with them, to include specifically one owned by fellow Opponaut KusabiSensei. Couldn’t get the thing to fire accurately and behave itself unless I held it all sloppy like a grandma with Parkinson’s, and everything on it was just a wee bit rattly.

Thanks, I only have a few more I really need to add to my collection. Anything after that would be just for fun. I need to finish my AR (just a lower atm), a Ruger Vaquero (old) 45 Long Colt Stainless 7.5 barrel, Walther P99 in .40, and something newer in the long range rifle (mine are all WWII) like the Ruger High Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor.

All I have right now is a TriStar Over Under 12ga and a Springfield XD(M) Compact 9mm. I probably need to go ahead and get my wife a small handgun but I really do want an AR for hunting and target shooting. Just a good multipurpose gun. My over under and borrowing pump guns will work for now though.

Yeah I also have a Remington 870, Springfield .30-60 sporterized, Mosin Nagant 91-30, and two Arisaka Type 99s

Yeah i just want more guns is what I’m discovering haha. A bolt action would be nice but I feel like I can’t manage all my hunting needs in Tennessee with an AR. IN this area the woods allow 100 yards max it seems. Maybe I’ll make enough to buy whatever I want one day but cost living is high here and I have to drive 45 minutes to shoot so ¯\_()_/¯

Why would you buy a pump? You have an over under, you’ve made it!

Cool stuff. I just have a mosin nagant that I shoot with for fun every once and a while. Been thinking about getting a handgun, but I really just have no need for it lol.

Does a gun really need a buffer image? Asking for my progressive, left-leaning self.

As Oppo’s post rules seem to be if it is not car related and could be offensive to some people then you put a buffer image. Plus, then I get to throw random car pictures and gifs into my non car articles.

I have an automatic hatred for the 92. I know it is different from the Marine Corps M9 I carried but that thing shot so flipping horribly that I didn’t get a good pistol qual score until I had been on active duty for 7 years. And that only happened because I was teaching rifle marksmanship trainers how to long rifle and being an instructor trainer required me to qualify with MARSOC/SOCOM platform weapons to aid them in their USMC required yearly rifle/pistol qual. And even at that point I did pistol qual with a Springfield operator .45.
Please confirm to me that the civilian 92f and 92fs are good pistols.

Game hunting mostly. 2 shots isn’t always enough to hit them all.

Very nice. I just picked up a IWI Jericho in .40. would have preferred 9 but they had a $100 discount on the .40 one.

Hmm odd, I have never hear anything bad about the M9s, but that is interesting. I really want the new M9A3, but it isn’t on the roster.
The 92fs is a really good gun to shoot. I haven’t had any issues other than it isn’t as nice as I would like it to be. Nothing a few upgrades won’t fix.

Speaking of 9mmolopnik, I just picked up a SCCY CPX-2 for $180. I like it so much, it might even replace my LC9 as a carry gun! I bought it as a cheap glovebox gun, but it fits my hand perfectly and I am much more accurate with it out of the box than the Ruger. Completely dry out of the box, one spray of Rem-oil on each side of the barrel, and then 100 rounds in a row without a single hiccup. Decisions.
Also, sweet Beretta. I have a Taurus PT92AF. The 92 series is wonderful in every way. Those cherry grips are sexy.

Interesting. I have no idea what i would want for a carry. Since it is too hard to get a licence here in CA, there is no reason to bother.
Thank you. If they didn’t change the grip shape on the Taurus then the Wilson parts would fit yours too.

Honestly, that would not surprise me in the least. I always assume getting worn parts in the Military replaced is difficult. Broken sure, but worn parts I feel would be a bureaucratic mess.

lol. Not the first time I’ve heard that about a myriad of different firearms from and armed forces member.
Makes sense though, those arms see more rounds through them than any sane civilian could afford to
