Lead singer’s vocal style is a little harsh for my taste, but way cool to see a woman playing the bass violin — and used like a base instrument instead of meandering non-musicality present in some jazz music — and I like the guitar.
Very nice. Thank you for posting that.

You are correct.
Do you listen to Lake Street Dive? Listen to more of their stuff

A little harsh? Well she does have a lot of range (not just high as women noirmally do, but her low notes are quite powerful. I can see why you’d think that.
Are you a fan of Lake Street Dive?

Incredibly, I hadn’t heard them do this cover before!

I clicked on some more links. I think some of their covers work quite well, some don’t. The lead singer has a fantastic voice, though.

Thanks for the reply. I am a fan of music, period. I tried to frame my response so as not to criticize the lead singer and, I hope, not to be sexist. Her vocal timbre is beefier and less lilty than other womens’. But I loved how the bass violin is applied and how it allows the acoustic guitar to stand out so much more. I’ll give the link a listen later, when my bandwidth is adequate.

I’d never heard it either until the other day. They all rock but yeah, I really like McDuck and Rachael is all kinds of awesome.
