Perhaps I should have brought the old F150 to UPS today.

Why use more gas than you need to?

Of all our chase cars - it’s this, a first-gen Versa hatchback with the conventional automatic, and 9 current-gen Versa CVT sedans, this is probably my favorite. It just won’t die.

It’s about a 2-mile round trip. The cost savings for the company are negligible. I thought there were only 2 at the hold station today.

It’s amazing how much you can fit in a compact car when you have no other options.

Our local trim shop uses a Saturn SL1. They leave it here when they pick up brand new units to do installs (mostly heated seats) on.
I bet they are glad to get out of that thing and into something new for the drive back.

It’s like the people I see at Home Depot, who buy 10 sheets of drywall, then get out to their car and begin scratching their head how they’re getting it all home

Why didn’t UPS just bring them to you?

From our Atlanta warehouse to Charlotte, we can ship ground and get them overnight. We send them to the hold station so that we can pick them up in the morning instead of waiting until 3 pm for the ground truck to get here.

Ahh I thought UPS always tried to hit business first. Our driver usually shows up by 10am even for ground shipments.

Ours does if there’s some overnight stuff, but if there’s none he just drops it at 3.
