Pair of legit Herman Miller Eames chairs, MSRP $1600 EACH for $100 off the list of Craig’s. Not only do they look amazing, they are literally the most comfortable chair you will ever sit in.

I’m aware - I have coveted one for a long time, never thought it would happen.

Jealous.
A few years back a friend and I spotted an Eames recliner in a dumpster at exactly the same moment. We were in his truck so he kept it. It was a little beat, but neither of us cared. I never got a chance to see if it was original or a copy.
I still have a cool Danish recliner from the late ‘70s/early ‘80s, but it’s kind of buried in the living room somewhere. I didn’t really use it too much as it sits a little too close to the ground for me, but it is quite comfortable. It’s got a lever that releases tension so that you can rock it into position and then lock it down into place. I remember one time when a friend was relaxing in it and I hit the release lever, shooting him upright from a dead sleep. Yeah, he was pissed...
and when visiting my folks last month I was pleased to see that the Danish modern rocking chair we’ve had since the early ‘70s has been recovered and refinished and is still in use.

Honestly, who cares if it’s a copy. The only one legit one I’ve ever been in was in a house where the owner’s net worth is in the nine figures.
Ha yeah I bet your friend was angry, those Danish recliners are super comfy.

Super disagree on the comfort part. I’ve sat in that style of a chair before and the thin padding just kills my back. I need super plushie chair bits to be comfortable in it.
My home office of the future will likely feature a La-Z-Boy instead of a real office chair.

Yeah my back tweaks in the plush office chairs, so these work well for me. Can’t go wrong with a la-z-boy though.

I certainly wouldn’t care if it was a copy, and would probably prefer it. Less worry about damaging it, kind of like the fear of driving a classic car.
The recliner incident happened probably about 30 years ago, so chances are we were drunk and/or stoned. Waking him up violently when in such a state was not a very nice thing for me to do, but in that state I probably thought it was funny...
And that friend that got the Eames? He was the one that broke my recliner, snapping the support belts in the front. Never let a 350 lb Samoan sit in a chair with weakened leather straps. I ended up just going to a thrift store and finding a couple of old belts to use as replacements, and they’ve worked great for the last 7-8 years, plus they’re easy to find if I need more

Oh yeah definitely, though the nice thing is they do stock parts for the originals, and they’re actually pretty reasonable considering the cost of the chair.
LOL, well at least you can always refer to your Samoan associate wherever you go. Well worth some minor chair repairs now and then.
