Saw this painting in the hospital today while getting my 2-year heart ultrasound test (all clear btw) and I figure someone might know the driver. Edit: Robbie Buhl, didn’t notice the name on the helmet when I took the picture.

The helmet says Robbie Buhl, who raced in CART from ‘93-’94 and IRL/IndyCar from ‘96-’04.

Based on the fact that his name is literally on his helmet, I would say it’s Robbie Buhl.

Robbie Buhl. Depicted is his firesuit and March 86A from the 1990 American Racing Series (now Indy Lights).

I wish I would have noticed that. It would have saved me from googling “boobie buhl” at work.

Why would you ever type the word “boobie” into a work computer?

I didn’t. I was joking.
