Three vehicle garage today, all of which must test your luck. Three black cats of reliability, dependability, and predictability.
I’ll let you have one with a warranty (factory or aftermarket). The other two must be from model year 2008 or older and you won’t have ANY warranty coverage on them.
Combined list prices may NOT exceed $100,000.
Roll the dice and as always, enjoy yo’selves!
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

You put Alfa in my head so, Alfa 164, that two tone.
Porsche 924 Turbo, I actually tried to buy one of these at one point, but I couldn’t sell the Civic I had at the time quick enough to get the money together.
And a B5 S4 Avant

Corniche cabrio for sunny day opulence and bankruptcy-causing maintenance, have fun with that hydraulic system:
6.3 for the timeless elegance and castle-like maintenance, when it goes wrong, it goes wrong hard:
And a Princess for when you want stylish wedge looks and a roulette wheel of what might break or rust next:

Roll the dice with the handling on a 911 Turbo $75,000
I’m sure this Suzuki Samurai will be a $4000 dependable daily driver
And maybe a Triumph TR6 for some more headaches $15,000

2002-2003 Passat W8 wagon, manual, $38,700 original MSRP:
1997 Chevrolet S-10 EV, I’m finding claims of roughly $33k original MSRP to purchase one. You want unreliability, how about a vehicle that GM literally tried to remove from existence, with lead acid batteries. (I would convert it to Li-ion, mind you.)
2011 Mazda RX-8 Sport, original MSRP $26,795, because I need something more fun on back roads, and this can get the warranty. (Photo is of a Grand Touring, but whatever.)

2008 Jaguar XK-R $18,000
2002 Aston Martin Vantage V600 LeMans $700,000
1991 TVR Griffith $25,000
Shit, I must be a masochist. Oh I didn’t see the price limit
Change the V600 to
1959 Austin Healey 100-6 BN6 $50,000
Makes it roughly 100k

I’ll play along since I already have a black MK6 GTI with DSG and a moonroof. Oh the electrics... and I even bought it used with no warranty.
For my second car in the triumphhrate of supposed unreliablity I’ll go with a Porsche 944 Turbo.
And for my last trick, let’s go two-wheeled, Harley-Davidson, AMF years: I’m talking Ironhead Sportster with a kickstarter that’s sure to give me the dreaded “Sportster Knee” that people fear more than a puddle of oil.

Pretty close to the dream...
1976 TR6
1985 Jaguar XJ6
2013 MINI
2013 GTI
I’ve been pretty lucky, last car I had to have towed from the side of the road was my 1993 Civic 15 years ago
