Good ol’ premium fuel too. On the highway I can break 30. But in the city, constantly stopping and going I’m hurting. Still love this damn thing though.

There’s a noticeable difference being the R-Design. It features the Polestar tune which is optimized for 93. I’ll spend the little extra. She just needs to be driven more. Constantly starting and stopping because of work burns it so quick.

Someone in the Volvo group traded it into a Toyota dealer about 3.5 hours from me. I followed it for like 2.5 months until they lowered the price and I decided to just do it because life is too short to drive boring cars.

It’s not worth the lower performance especially on turbo cars. The extra money spent on Premium can be quickly recouped by buying some generic OTC medicine or some generic supermarket branded item instead of brand name.

Man I remember when you had a junky V70 and we’re struggling to figure out what to do with it lol. I was joking with my friends from college that we needed to find an old pic of us from college at an autocross with our junker cars and then contrast it with a pic taken last month at an event with our new rides. “Started from the bottom now we here”, indeed.

Is the performance really lower? Is it even noticeable? Did a few tanks of regular on my ‘97 SHO and there was no difference. Not as sophisticated a machine, I’ll readily admit.

I just finished my C30. Polestar? Nope. Shark Stage 3 making 315hp and 375 lbft of torque. I can spin the tires in 4th when it’s wet.

Run premium. It’s a turbo and there is no reason to have the ecu pull timing because of predetonation.

I’d be really hesitant with a forced induction. Its my understanding that any gain in the price difference is substantially reduced as mostly all engines are designed to retard timing.

That is sweet. You gotta get that up where you can play in the snow a little. My wife had a 2005 S40 T5 AWD, and it was even blue! That car was 1/2 as cool as yours and still a blast in the snow. It was fun all the time, actually.

The biggest difference was, my wife’s was a manual. It pains me that you can’t get this configured that way.
