I don’t have cupholders, and I refuse to wield a soft drink while driving stick. How’s everyone’s day going?

I feel your pain. My Alfa and Saab don’t have cupholders and the Land Rover’s are basically useless.

Enjoying a statutory holiday and trying to take care of my girlfriend before studying kills her.

time to buy a minivan or SUV or crossover that has at least 16 cupholders

Oh and to answer your earlier question: Ok for a Monday! LR decided to have the infamous 3 Amigos fault today, so that is a bummer.

I mean I could get a Honda Fit with 5 cupholders within reach of the driver alone...

eh... its been fine... survived work.. currently wielding a stick whilst drinnking a soft drink.... (beers a soft drink right) (i mean... its pretty soft if it hits you sans bottle)

Solution: big hole saw.

I need a roof-mounted cupholder with a long twisty straw that goes to my helmet. So I can drink my Red Bull while I’m driving at autocross.
Oh, and it’ll be actuated by overhead switches, much like a tank or military plane.

Studying is a pain. I’m on my way to study once I finish the soda...

Good, I’ve actually been fairly productive today. Also waiting for my oil analysis from blackstone.

What in the world are you driving that has seats that good looking while also not having a cup holder?
![]() 10/09/2017 at 15:31 |

NOT enough
![]() 10/09/2017 at 15:32 |

I’m hoping to be productive, we’ll see how it goes. I got an oil change recently but do you think the blackstone oil analysis would be worth it on a low-mileage MR2 anyway?
![]() 10/09/2017 at 15:36 |
|
Not sure. Even though its low miles it is old. The test is only $28 and shipping is free both ways. So if that’s fuck it money, it could be worth it.

The passenger is the cup-holder in a car this small. Unfortunately a box of pizza makes for a pretty incompetent passenger. Yummy though.

I’m trying out a new tortellini pesto freezer dinner for lunch and trying to decide which person to hire for a postdoc position.
At least I have somewhere to put my cup.

This car makes enough weird noises as-is though...
That said, where should I cut the cupholder hole?
![]() 10/09/2017 at 15:49 |

You can hear the noises better with a big hole through the sound insulation.
And about right there where the cup is.

Shift boot looks like a nice cupholder. Just drive it in 1st all the way.

They make portable cup holders that go between your window and window seal, I have some for my 4Runner since the cupholders are usesless.

My mazda 3 sedan has 6 cup holders, they are all large enough to hold a bicycle water bottle.
My mazda 3 sedan is not cool at all.
I am sad.
Bye.
