honest question: Was that bomber ever used in combat? Also, was the F22 ever used in any combat fighting mission?

I think the B-2 has been used in a number of conflicts. Don’t think the F-22 has seen combat yet, although it is capable.

Yes, beginning during the NATO action against Serbia. Stealth was useful, as the Serbians had MiG-29s.

The B-2 first dropped bombs during the Kosovo War, and has served since (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, etc.). Publicly the fist combat mission for an F-22 was to demolish the command center of an ISIS target in Syria, which it did with great aplomb in Sept 2014.

The F-22 has been used in Syria. It hasn’t shot anything down, since ISIS has no air force, and Syria’s fighters generally haven’t challenged us, but it did (somewhat strangely) get used for ground attack. http://aviationweek.com/defense/f-22-s-takes-first-shot-against-ground-not-air-target

What an incredible aircraft. It was clearly meant to fly in the night too.
