...EL_Zapatito gets SVENDed finally. Having it parked under our Magnolia tree was a bad idea. Tree sap type of crap, dirt and hot Texas sun (still) is not ideal for car paint. Only waxed this car once almost 2 years ago. Just removing the brake dust took forever.

Only waxed once in two years, oh Uly.
What shall we do with you? Lol.
She looks great fella, nice one.
Did you use a fallout remover to safely remove the brake dust?

Fallout remover is a general name for brake dust remover, because brake dust can eat into paint and start blistering not just caking up wheels.
It’s a wheel safe brake dust dissolver.
Take this old school Focus RS wheel.
Initially it looks clean.
But closer looks will show brake dust build up in the corners and crevices.
Simply spray on cleaned from excess debris wheels and let it do it’s thing. It will turn purple to show where it’s working and that it is working,
Agitate with a brush so it’s right in, and then rinse thoroughly and
Job done.
On car paint.

I’ve only used one wax before. It isn’t around anymore and it was Gtechniq C3 Smart Carnauba liquid wax.
Even now people that used it swore it was the best there was but the company went towards nano coatings and sealants.
I use sealants now after each wash as a drying aid and to top up the protection.
Cure is a coating topper, stand alone sealant, quick detailer and drying aid.

Bilt Hamber. The one in the pics is Bilt Hamber Autowheels, this is a wheel cleaner and fallout remover in one. For the car body there is Bilt Hamber Korrosol or I also recommend CarPro Iron-X (these two can be used on wheels and body) , I’ve tried others but while some may be cheaper they don’t work as well and you end up using more product.
You don’t have to wipe it off, you can just pressure rinse it off.
CarPro Iron-X
BH Korrosol.

I sprayed each wheel with this green acidy stuff they use to also to remove heavy stuck on bugs. It made me cough. It was strong but it helped break down the dust before I went through it with the brushes.

Good lad.
Be careful with acids, always stand with them, they can be an arse on painted and/or lacquered wheels for bleaching or ghosting. It works but shouldn’t be used often.
She’s came up well mate

It’s along the lines of CarPro Reload, Gtechniq C2v3, etc... I just prefer this one.
There are so many products out there, I’ve tried quite a few but after a few years I’ve settled into what I like. I’ll still try out the odd new product from time to time though.
