My wife’s grandfather’s wife drives a Mustang. They’re definitely not unique or enthusiast cars if she drives one. She doesn’t even know what she’s looking at when she sees my car.

We lose people to Mustangs and a handful of much more interesting cars in my circles. Mustangs probably account for at least a third of coupes on the road...

At least it’s a GT. Although the EcoBoost is probably the most enthusiast of the options (everyone knows that the GT is the faster one, even the aforementioned grandmother, which is why she got one).

How did I insult your car? Assuming your car is an ST, I simply asked if the Mustang owners on Oppo outnumber the ST owners on Oppo, and I did so because I know a handful of ST owners (Kroll and Mr FiSTer IIRC) have swapped to Mustangs while other Oppos have acquired Mustangs (myself, Wagon Guy drives a Boostang).

But if you want to play that game, cute. You literally drive an economy car but you’re criticizing the Mustang for being “boring”.

I just had a vision....you need a fleet of mustangs that each have a famous Porsche race car livery on them! You need a Rothman’s scheme, one of the mobil 1 911-GT1 schemes, and maybe a pink pig or a Jules scheme.

Yes, I have a Mustang now and I love it. I just tracked it for the first time and it’s fast, like surprisingly so. Liking my Mustang and it being fast has nothing to do with the ST being boring or slow. I still miss my ST all the goddamn time, it was a ball of sunshine that the Mustang just can’t quite replicate.
