It doesn’t have a Simulation Mode, but what it does have is incredibly pretty menus, ALL THE WORLD’S HIPPEST, MOST MODERN LOUNGE MUSIC and an absolutely exquisite driving model. Also it does this thing called “Scapes” that combine the in-game cars with photographs, and it actually looks good. Spookily good. Especially in motion.
Also, All the in-depth information about the cars is back, as is a greatly expanded version of GT5's museum mode.
But seriously that shit it does with photos is nuts.

I’ll ask you this: are the Gr.B cars the best, or the fucking best?
Also, how good is their C7.R knockoff and F-type Gr.3 (aka the race car Jaguar should be making instead of this shit )?

Everything is good! I don’t know why I ever doubted they’d make something great. I mean, just all the little animations and jingles that play when you earn credits or XP or when you level up. They are the most joyous little things
Also I love how once the game launches properly you won’t be allowed to play online until you take a racing etiquette class.

Man fuck scapes and fuck photos. It can be an incredible game without those features, it can’t be an incredible game without the things that matter .
For years GT have been putting their dev time in the wrong places. Like having 800 standard cars, but missions on the moon.

Part of me wanted to do licence tests. Part of me wanted to do skids. Then they gave me a Veyron the FOOLS

Do they still sound like vacuum cleaners though?

Yes and no, mostly because it’s more realistic and cars sound like vacuum cleaners. The in-cabin engine note is very good, though, for the cars I’ve driven. It’s no longer a mess of wind noise and tire squeal.

Oh man, I came to the same realization after years of grumbling about gran turismo’s vacuum cleaners. “Wait a minute... cars DO sound like vacuums...”
