My least favorite thing about Forza 7.

Is how disposable all the cars feel, since they’re all essentially only useful for a single set of races, the game throws free ones at you by the handful, and everything you get is already modified to be as good as it’ll likely get for its class, so there’s no point in putting the work in. I’ve played through the first four levels of competition, and I don’t feel like I accomplished much. Everything was over and it was time to move on as soon as I finished.

What made Forza 4 so fun is that I could (and did) make a Nissan GTR compete with LMP1 cars. I loved building sleepers and competing with them, but this game took that away.

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy the game, but I don’t want them to stick with this mechanic in the future.

yeah I’m not happy with the whole single player setup. I get the feeling that the game doesn’t like it when you build cars not to the series spec. It pops up those stupid warnings when ever you want to upgrade a car.

Then I’m really upset with the current online options, no drag racing at all or the fun games like tag or virus. I think they really need to work on the game some more, this is the first forza I have not dived into head first to play through, right now its a filler till Need for Speed and Battlefront 2 comes out than being my usually go to game to play.

I was still regularly using the Citroen C1 that I started with in the later stages of the game. I’d rather they just go full Gran Turismo Sport and remove all the modifying entirely. It’s better than pretending like it’s still there.

I mean there are DOZENS of different classes of vehicle now, and they all have like 3 cars in them. I missed when it was stuff like races for rear-drive cars or cars with turbos or ones made in the 90s or whatever. Now it’s three different ways to say hot hatch based on when it came out, and even then there is overlap. And what’s the difference between a sports touring “icon” and a sports touring “legend”.

Great point!

I’m enjoying it, but the game just feels like it has underachieved in some way that I can’t put my finger on.

No, they just need to be less restrictive about their homologation specs and cull most of their stupid vehicle sub-classes.

The entire point of Forza is to be able to modify your car to make it fun for you. I dislike what they’ve done to the single player campaign. They should have just left it for the online lobbies and let us go have fun however we see fit.

Agreed. 7 feels like a big step backwards from the previous entries. How in the world did I start the game with an F40? My VIP membership doesn’t get double credits anymore, it gets mod cards. The game just doesn’t have the fun feel of previous Forza games. The only real advance I see is the weather is much more realistic now. Yippee.
