Woke up to find the exit blocked. Had to back the trailer around the hotel
Worst shot ever of a ribbon of bats coming out of the cave
Classy
Big crash on the only road between Pecos and Fort Stockton
Because someone still needs to write about the race cars

I get anxiety when I tow to new places, not knowing the level of pain in the ass that may surface when navigating with a full size truck and a 20 foot boat.

Gross. How’s the atlas? Beyond an article about sleeping in it. I’m thinking of a. Minivan, but the metris is rwd only, and the atlas might work. I’m worried about the engine power.

Holy sh*t, I didn’t realize you were this close to the Jalopnik crew

I always look at the hotel lot on Google satellite before booking. I just didn’t count on them blocking the exit to replace the sign in the morning

I’m guessing you’re new here. This is the third time I’ve been subjected to the torture of a week long Stef road trip. I’m also responsible for Orlove’s rally career

Yeah, I only really got on Oppo about 3 months ago. I knew it existed before, but I never really went to it.

Power isn’t awful. It’s not going to win any drag races but it gets out of its own way, even with a trailer hanging off the back

Took off the trailer today and drove it around Austin a bit. It’s got plenty of power when there’s no boat anchor hanging off the back. Four adults in the car and it was even borderline zippy, at least for a vehicle of its size.

Oppo is a good place.

Sauce: not good. Gingery aftertaste comes in strong when you chug the leftovers. Super gross. Ginger is nasty.
Atlas: pretty good. Only real grievances are minor—stuff like not being able to change the clock from the passenger seat when it’s in motion. Otherwise, it’s pretty easy to live with. Engine is adequate to peppy when not towing. Has moments of slow when towing, but is generally okay and admittedly we’re close to the top of the truck’s tow rating.. Longer review coming soon. Jason did a full rundown already but wasn’t towing a car home.

Why yes it is Stef, yes it is.
Where else can you find that big time journalists actually reply to their community?

Good to know. We’re looking for a 7 passanger and have narrowed it down to a few cars:
Q7, atlas, Nissan armada (totally discounted), a lightly used land cruiser (totally cha ching), metris, xc90 t8. The atlas is on the cheaper side, but ticks all the right boxes except chintziness and supposed lack of power

Hahahahaha, “big time.” Hahahahahahaha. Hahaha. Hahaha.
(I write about my poops here, too.)

I sort of expected a reply like this.
That doesn’t make my statement any less true though
