Was it BLASTING music? Every time I see one, it’s just the worst sounding thing on the road. So much money, so little taste

I’d really like to drive one of these once. I can’t imagine owning one though.

I haven’t seen a stock Slingshot in like 2 years. All of them seem to have had tacky mods done to them now.

Are you in the Dayton, Ohio area? That looks like the off ramp from 675 at Wilmington Pike.

kill it with fire!

I bet this thing lights up like an LED Xmas tree at night in the tackiest way imaginable

I have no doubt. The little fans on the tail add to the carnival look.

I’m fact it was, although the tune wasn’t offensive.

This is the first I’d seen what baubles stuck on it. The red and white paint job was pretty aggressive.

Alas, Ferguson Road exit off I30 in Dallas. Interstates are pretty homogeneous though.

Kinda the same. I mean, I’d love to have one. I just don’t know where I’d use it. I’m sure I could think of something.

But if I don’t get it with my first shot, it might get me.

I think those are the little “cyclone” things that are supposed to of in your car’s intake.

Yeah? They have LED rings around them too. I figured they’re the adult version of pinwheels.

The weirdest thing people bolt onto them is roofs. Every one I’ve seen looks ungainly.

I wouldn’t bolt on a roof. But, I would put a fabric roof/tarp over it to keep shaded when parked. Don’t know if they make such a thing.

There is an OEM “cockpit cover” but it covers like the whole back half. You’re right though a small cover for the seats and dash would be nice if you were parking it in the sun for a few hours.

I have zero doubt it would be fun to drive. There’s just such a large number of vehicles that are more my style for the same kind of money.
My Powerball garage is certainly filled with enough oddball cars that I just don’t see a place for one of these.

I get that. I didn’t say I’d buy one with my own money, but I’d find a way to use it if someone gave it to me.

I’ve driven one. It’s not that fast, it doesn’t handle that well. If you want the wind in your hair (in a state that doesn’t require a helmet) but you don’t want a motorcycle or if you want a LOT of attention, this might be for you. It really doesn’t do anything well except get attention.
If you give a damn about driving, you’d be better off with either a roadster or a motorcycle.

So, once again, Miata...
