Your service records may have indicated my vehicle has a manual transmission.

Besides that, if I saw anyone pouring something into my engine bay like a deleted scene from the movie Cocktail I’d highly doubt I was Getting It Done Right.

take it anyways, you’ll have a good time after ingesting that bottle of transmission fluid

Idk if this is the case for your TLX(right?), but with the older 90s Hondas it actually is important to either use their fluid or certain additives with manual transmissions.
I did a lot of research on it a few years ago and basically.
In the 90s motor oil companies put extra additives like zinc into their oil, which the transmissions needed. Then some time later they stopped, so then Honda/Acura starting selling their MTF which was the motor oil with the additives people were leaving out.
I’ve heard plenty of stories of people just putting in regular 10w-30 (or which ever grade it is) and their transmission going out in less than 30k miles.
Although if your transmission isn’t one of the one’s that uses motor oil it’s probably not an issue.

Oh, yeah, I use genuine Honda/Acura MTF in my cars. I’m just not using ATF in my manual TSX.

Audi did the same thing with my S4 6MT.

Yup, and pouring the bottle upside down to boot, that’s a sure fire way to get splashes of fluid all over

Yeah, learned the hard way many years ago. Sort of counterintuitive, but they pour better the right way. Some bottles even have a picture on it showing that. And the bigger mouth bottles actually pour smoother as well cause the air can get in easier.

fair enough, when was the last time you replaced the oil in your manual box though?
