This RS5, or the fact it costs $2.99 per gallon for 87 octane here.

87 doesn’t matter, what was 91?

Average in San Francisco right now is 3.22

Shell and Chevron are consistantly 50 to 75 cents higher than literally everyone else around here. How do they stay in business?

Geez. Regular is 60 cents less on average where I live. Premium is 2.87 where I jist stopped.

I assume it was bigly.

Is 2.99 bad? Man, I remember when gas was flirting with 5/gal in Cali

Just paid $3.05 for 93 in SE Pennsylvania

That’s premium price over here. Speaking of, I need to go fill up.
![]() 10/06/2017 at 18:56 |

*you don’t need to put Premium in the 2JZ

Nobody drive or lives in San Fran. It’s a myth

None of our bountiful Lexus or Toyotas get premium.
![]() 10/06/2017 at 19:18 |

Yeah... that gas is cheap!
![]() 10/06/2017 at 19:22 |

It is USD$4,80 here, and 25% of that is ethanol
![]() 10/06/2017 at 19:26 |

Haha. I wish it was a myth. My commute would suck so much less.

I paid $2.79/gallon for regular earlier. I was shocked and appalled at the cost of gas on my trip to Seattle last week...luckily my MIL has a Hyundai and we didn’t use much gas.

Car Guys said that many cars that are billed to take premium do not need it. Try switching in the Lexus? Might save you some money (unless pinging).

The computer adjusts for whatever fuel it is provided. Even my wife’s 2009 Rx350 gets regular. These engines don’t really *need* premium unless they are ran like they need premium. It’s just a naturally aspirated engine with a lot more left to give. No reason to spend the extra money. More than a million miles among 4-5 Lexi in Lexi and none get Premium.

i’d be happy to pay that for fuel
do you want to pay 4.40 as it is here currently?
makes you wonder how dear it is in Alaska and Hawaii

But you are leaving cards on the table! I know it might be irrational but I want every single hamster running at full speed when I need it. Full synth oil, quality gas, etc. (Though with a NA motor it probably doesn’t do much I suppose...)
![]() 10/06/2017 at 22:56 |

If I ge the WRX it’s getting Premium but NA really doesn’t need it.

Let’s just hope the two never come together...

Gas is flirting with $5/gal pretty hard up here in BC...
