I wouldn’t think it was the same car if not for the license plate!

It looks so much better with the new lights.

I don’t get the North American thing of red indicators, merging the indicator in with the rear and brake light. If that bulb goes, that’s not only an indicator out or a brake light or tail light but an indicator, brake and tail light.

NHTSA say it’s so that if the car is braking or has it’s tail lights on, the car to the rear can see the indicator clearly without the light be obscured by other lights around it within the light cluster but it’s silly.

They Americanised the Ford Transit and the Vauxhall Insignia/Buick Regal the same way.

It just doesn’t seem right without the amber lens on it.

I’d say almost no new cars have the indicator as the same bulb as the brake bulb anymore

Also that’s what the chmsl is for

The Buick Regal they left the indicator lens but moved it’s function into the brake light unit above.

On the current Ford Transit the clear lens at the rear on the U.K. and Euro Transit is divided into two with the top area used for the indicator and the lower half for the reversing light.

Kinja'd!!!

On the North American Ford Transit the lear lens area is taken up with the reversing light (moved to the centre) and the indicator function moved up into the brake light cluster above.

Are those headlights or brake lights? Only reason I ask is because your CHMSL isn’t illuminated.

Also, you might want to watch your back.... It appears as though you have some Jawas watching you in the side mirror

From what I can tell, even if facelift’s ruin the look of the car the tail lights will always look better because you usually get more technology (led’s, clear lenses, etc...)

I had to do the opposite with my Matrix daily driver. The 05+ lights look like cheap ebay altezza lights:

Kinja'd!!!

So I found a cheap set of used 03-04 lights to swap them out

Kinja'd!!!

I ended up adding a very very light coat of VHT nightshade tint spray (very light) and it really looks a billion times better.
