Got it for PC and I’ve been having a blast. Either I’ve slowed or the AI is more challenging than before and some of the online races have been great. Still trying to work my online license/reputation but also enjoying some campaign and side races offline to get familiarized with other cars.

Wish I had a VR headset, because some of these races are full blown wheel to wheel and the environment has been beautiful. Raced COTA in the Corvette in a long race that had day/night/day transition and it gave me the Texas sunset vibe that I’m familiar with.

Raced in the wet at Monza and it was like racing Grand Prix Legends with better graphics.

My steam ID is WarShrike if anybody wants to run together at an event:

Sure I have project cars too :)

I plan on getting the game, on PS4 though, my PC would laugh at me for trying to install the game.

Anyone playing this with a controller? Tempted to pick it up but playing the first game on a controller was torture.

Really not sure how it is on controller. It’s an animal with a wheel, especially the Can Am and Trans Am series turbo cars dialed up to Diesel levels of boost... I ran the 917 spyder at Sears Point and that was a WILD ride. Took me a good 20 laps of fine tuning to get the car tamed down some, I could finally come out of T6 onto the drag strip at almost WOT, but it was still kicking the tail out in 3rd through 4th.

I had a Vive but between calibration issues and the space games making me ill I sold it.

The big issue with using a controller in PCars 1 was that the way the steering sensitivity adjusted with speed was all kinds of fucked.

Howdy! Fellow PC owner here, it would be nice to have more lobbies with connections on this side of the globe. That being said the racing online and offline is amazing and can lead to some rather interesting car/track/environment combinations.

Controller handling is much improved. A lot closer to Forza (6: Apex) but a tad less forgiving, though it does mean you get a lot more feedback steering into a corner and catching slides on exit. Mind you, past a certain slip angle the car is still lost simply because of the nature of using analog sticks versus a wheel.

Be smooth on the inputs, and you can easily keep up with the average wheel user. The biggest hurdle was preventing wheelspin and locking up the brakes due to my unfamiliarity with trigger travel.
