It was a premature failure, so they would fail at low mileage. Apparently BMW didn’t design them correctly, so they’d fail at early mileage. It seems random, but it’s probably people who didn’t warm up their S65s before WOT.

The unicorn oil is too damn thick for the s65. I read owners are better off with a conventional 15w40. Vac motorsports makes better rod bearings.
