As an owner of a manual midsize sedan, I’m really thankfull for the new Accord who accomplishes the task of not only offering a manual, but on two engines and on different trims!

Let’s see how many they sell now, I wish them good luck.

Only contenders now are Accord, 6 and Legacy.

Dead in the past 5 years are Fusion, Sonata, Optima, Passat

As a manual Subaru owner in the USA, I find it rather odd that the Legacy/Outback get a manual up north but not here. That being said, I can’t imaging myself actually buying a 2.5/6MT Legacy or Outback anyway. What I really wish they would do an update of the 2010-11 Legacy GT with the WRX motor and a 6MT.

YES that would be some sort of mature WRX like the GT was

Yeah, but the current legacy is ugly.

I actually think the current Legacy is more boring than ugly and an improvement over the old one. Sometimes I look at my ‘13 outback in the garage and shake my head and wonder how I bought that ugly thing.

Sadly, I don’t think one can get a manual Legacy anymore...

The 2.0T/6MT Accord has the potential to somewhat fit that bill. But without AWD it’s more of a grown up Civic Type R than a grown up WRX.

I guess the closest thing we have to a “mature WRX” right now is an Audi A4 Quattro with the 2.0T and stick. But starting at $40k it also comes with a correspondingly mature price tag.

Oh you’re right, CVT it is since the facelift

It’s very sad.
