"Mercedes Streeter" (smart)

It took an entire weekend doing both the floor and the walls, but it’s finally finished! First a before:
Now after:
The lumps in the paint are mostly consisting of dead spiders. There are roughly 100 in the paint that I killed with the paint.
And with two of the smarts inside:
In related news, I may soon have a space to park smart #3... Edit: Redacted that entire post. There’s a high probability of just making the situation worse by posting about it.
I also made my first set of floor mats for my smarts! The second set will be backed with a rubber layer for watery times.

Good choice with the black floors, I feel like any light colored ones end up looking terrible after a while.

Sometimes I wonder why people have multiple of pretty much the same car and then I remember I have two E9Xs.

I think they make a cream for that smart car issue ;)

Well I mean, you’re going to need a third E9x, right? :D

I was originally going to go for a gloss finish, but once I learned that such a finish would cost me a few hundred or more, I decided to go for the cheaper, flatter option. :)

I had dinner with a girl shorty after I got my E92 and said something about also wanting a convertible. She was like you’re going to end up with three BMWs, aren’t you?

Sweet! I’m not a fan of attached garages but that’s nice.

And then you can clean out a closet and have room for number 4.

Did you lose the wash basin in the process? Put it back!
I installed one in my garage a few years back. Oh my dirty car parts, I love it. I wish I would have it years ago. (Even if I have to winterize it every November.)

It died :P
When I moved in I noticed that the basin drained onto the garage floor. A real drain did not exist anywhere.
The previous owner of the house ran a body shop out of the garage and he washed paint/chemicals in the basin. He drained that paint and chemicals into a giant bucket and then dumped them into a grate at the end of the driveway (which goes right into the water table). Allegedly, he also streamed the paint down the driveway too because he didn’t give a darn. We found out that running proper plumbing to the garage would be crazy expensive, so we decided to nuke the basin.

Attached garages? I don’t like my house smelling like what I just painted.

That’s what you use the shop or shed for. Garages are for cars.

OH yikes! Yeah the storm sewer is no place for that.
I was lucky, through the wall into the basement, below the 1st floor floor, straight down and into house sewer line, a few feet from where it exits the foundation.

I guess. The property I’m currently fighting for has an attached garage. All I can think of is “wasted space”. There’s a 30x60 pole barn right behind the house.

Barns are for livestock. Well, unless you have no livestock, then they double as sheds.

I actually want Livestock!
And, I just don’t think the Car hole should be an integrated part of the house.

As an EPA certified water/wastewater operator that story just made me shudder.

What I read wasn’t so much that you may be parking the third car inside. I interpreted it as you’ll soon have room inside for 4 Smarts and will need to troll the forums for an e-Smart that’s free or dirt cheap to a loving home. If so you certainly have a case for being the best option for rehoming.
The work looks great.
