Set number 2 and 3, Enkei PF01s that the previous owner had powdercoated in this bronze and (fairly rough) ‘05-07 STI forged BBSs.
The BBS will get Bridgestone RE71Rs for autocross duty. As such, I don’t really care that the wheels aren’t pristine but I may give them a quick refinish anyway, probably in a gunmetal colour to hide brake dust.
The Michelin Pilot Supersports that are on the Enkeis now are a size too small (225/45R17) for the car so they will receive the tires that came off the stock wheels for my car. (Speaking of the PSSs, anyone want them?)
That’s enough wheel buying for now - I’ve spent a slightly silly amount of money already in the first month owning the car.

hmm. I might have to look into the tire sizes on the lexus and the audi. I’ll get back to you on that

As fast as the River of Oppo flows, it’s easy to miss a particular Oppo, but I’d thought of you recently and that I hadn’t noticed anything from you. I am happy to see that your life functions are still active.

Are both awd? If so, I might recommend against taking them. Two tires are worn noticeably more than the other two, they’re all still plenty usable but on an awd car you want to be sure the tires are wearing evenly. I know tires can be shaved to match but I haven’t looked into who around here will do it.
That said, I also still have the wheels/tires for my Golf. 17x8 Konig Oversteer with 225/45R17 Michelin Pilot A/S3. Great tires, wear is even, and I think the wheels should fit the A3 if you’re interested.

Haha, I’ve definitely been around a lot less as of late but life is good - busy, but I can’t complain at all. Looking forward to summer to get autocrossing. Cheers for the interest.

Is it the Audi that’s awd or the Lexus?
Either way, if you or someone you know has some interest in the tires, feel free to hit me up. I’m not really expecting more than a couple hundred buck for them.

How can someone have better things to do than trolling Oppo?
Perish the thought!
Cheers as well.

I want your wheels... Been looking at either of those in 5x100 for my new summers

They’ll be a bit harder to find at 5x100. The STI wheels were made in that fitment only for the ‘04 STI and PF01s aren’t very common in any size - I only found these incidentally while searching for RPF1s.
Maybe consider switching the car to 5x114 to improve your odds. The guy I bought the BBSs from was actually selling the bits necessary to so, his 2.5RS had full ‘05 STI running gear and he was going back to 5x100.

I could put the PSS’s on the stock wheels on my BRZ. Are you located anywhere near NC?

Nah, I think you need a set of 17x9 +45 RPF1s too...
And woah, what’s this?! I’ve got a brand new set for sale! Fancy that. ;)

It’s a short 13(ish) hour drive from here in Ontario. Feels free to come get them. :P

I was shopping for RPF1s actually when I found the PF01s. The want is still strong, I admit.
I assume the ones you have are 5x100 for the FR-S, right? The WRX switched to 5x114.3 for this generation so as much as I’d like your wheels I wouldn’t be able to use them. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief.
I seriously have to delete my kijiji alerts though, otherwise it will keep reminding me when new RPF1 ads are posted.

Ehh thats not a lot of wheels. It’s only a lot of wheels if you have more than one set for the same use. Like multiple sets of track wheels or multiple sets of winter wheels. I’ve got three sets of wheels for my Miata: winter steelies, ugly dirty autox wheels, and cheap but decent daily summer wheels. I don’t even think I spent a grand on all of those wheels combined though, so I went the real cheapo route lol.
Ill consider myself to have too many wheels when I start turning them into furniture because there is nowhere else to put them.

I also have the set I bought for the Golf last spring so that’s three sets of wheels not being used at the moment.
That said, I never said I’d have too many, just that I now have enough. I don’t explicitly rule out buying more, just not too soon. The wallet needs a reprieve but if a set of RPF1s comes up at a deal I can’t refuse, I’ll probably buy them.
And I’m totally gonna be using some wheels as furniture. Not sure where I’d store them in the house (when finished) otherwise.

I like the doom stack of 8 wheels in my closet. I feel like thats a lot of weight for the unfortunate wheel on the bottom but it will probably be alright. Sure will imprint my floor with the tire manufacturer though. The next people who move into my apartment while wonder why I tattooed “Dunlop” on my floor.

What shape are the PSS in? I’d possibly be interested in them.

They were only used one summer but I think the previous owner should have rotated them more frequently. I’d have to measure the tread depth to confirm but by eye I’d say two have 7-8/32” (6mm) of tread (6mm) while the other two have 2-3/32” (2mm) less, so 4-6/32" (4mm) remaining.
The tires have a summer or 2 of life at least, as long as they’re rotated properly, eg. put the ones with more life on the drive axle. I wouldn’t run them on an awd car like mine, but for fwd or rwd it won’t be a problem.
You’re welcome to check them out if you’re interested and nearby.
