Which has me thinking: Has Jeff ever raced anything in the rain? I am sure he is quite capable of handling the conditions but it is odd to think that this may be the first time he has ever raced in the rain.

Obligatory.

Well, for starters it doesn’t look like he can see through that windshield.
Side note: I got a kick out of the cheers when he left the pits.

I don’t think he knows where the wiper switch is.

My wife asked me if he ever read the book.
I bought it and she has read it.

I have not read it. She told me all about it though. She quit it for a few months she was pissed about it. But did finish it.

I don’t read many books to begin with, but I heard great reviews from Oppo about it so I bought it instead of borrowing it from library. It’s on the long list of things to do.

It’s a great book, it made me very angry too though. Not because its racing references were inaccurate (they were almost spot-on) but because of the story.

My wife usually gives me an book report and how it goes as she reads through books. So I get the idea of why, but if you can consider that this was a fictional story and there are actually kids who grow up through worse.

I think he practiced and qualified in the rain for one of the NASCAR Thunder exhibition races in Japan in the late 90's.
