Took the MR2 to work instead of the bus so I could make a quick getaway. Ran into this little guy on the ride home.
Not this exact car. But just as clean. Had some rimz on it, tasteful ones.
There’s a stretch of highway that’s mostly empty with 4 big roundabouts on it. We were both headed the same way. I thought I could have some fun poking through those at speed with the little old Mazda, but I got destroyed.
This thing had been something-swapped or something-charged, to the point where my poor NA MR2 just couldn’t keep up. Every time I caught him on the straight, he’d do a hard pull out of the roundabout and fly off into the sunset. Once I saw the back step out under hard acceleration. I was giddy.
In hindsight this was a dream come true. We have twisty roads nearby, but I think the roundabouts give me about as much entertainment.

I think those first-gen RX-7's all came with factory limited-slip differentials. So rad.

So well-preserved ... probably just the purest driving experience.

Sweet. Love those cars! Don’t see many around anymore.

Too right. Because old rotary.

If it’s ever running long enough to enjoy it ;) Of course I suspect this guy is a proper rotary enthusiast. I’m sure he knows what he’s doing.

Well now you know what you have to do.
2GR swap and then find him again.

Drove a car that came before - Mazda Cosmo. Ridiculous acceleration coupled with doubtful reliability.
