That is a 70,000 dollar home in my town. #justruralthings
I mean seriously that’s just a set up from a trailer.

LOL now that’s a quick flip. Bidding war upcoming?
Just think, it would be twice as much or more 20 miles (30-300 minutes driving time) to the south.

Yeah but take a close look at the neighborhood... It’s directly across the street from section 8 housing and the Everett housing authority.

Last sold: Oct 2016 for $169,100
It went up $130k in three months?
![]() 01/22/2017 at 18:18 |

Agreed. Don’t know how they squeezed 4 beds and two baths out of 1100 square feet... Doomed to be a rental for Everett Wazzu campus students.

I was thinking the “Everett” in the address name said enough :) Maybe hipsters can move north out of Seattle and gentrify that place.
Sold 3 months ago, and being flipped already with probably 100K profit. Insane.

Housing bubble gonna pop again and it’s gonna suck even worse the second time.

Everett isn’t so bad. I’ve lived here for 6 years and the worst thing that has happened to me is living next door an irksome neighbor.
![]() 01/22/2017 at 18:25 |

I agree. Which is potentially bad news for me (did you know my job vaguely involves houses somehow? I probably haven’t mentioned it lately)
![]() 01/22/2017 at 18:25 |

It’s worth $300k. Fact.

They put 20K into it, they deserve profit, this is capitalism!!111

Whenever I see a listing like that I think the seller watched a flipping houses show and believed what was in it.

My friend who lives on Grand near the water has told me he notices car prowls in his alley too often for comfort. But I suppose in this socio-economic order, that happens in most places. At least his neighbors are mostly old cat ladies.

This is actually a pretty common practice here for the last few years though. The problem with this one specifically is 1) NO, 2) the neighborhood, and 3) NO!

We are #101 in the nation is crime per capita I believe. I kind of live in the eye of the storm of all things everett.

Looks very errrrrr DIY. I’ll bet ten pesos there was very little contractor interaction here.
![]() 01/22/2017 at 18:53 |
|
Yeah no. It *might* be worth that much if it was in Seattle or Bellevue.
I’m not sure it would be worth the asking price if it was all fixed up.
Also I will never forgive Everett for getting a Dick’s over Tacoma.
![]() 01/22/2017 at 18:55 |
|
Not sure if that’s good or bad. But hey, it’s not poor maligned old Tacoma, right? :)

You’re thinking of Edmonds.

People need houses and house-related services. If you’re a realtor, I hope you’re saving your pennies, because when this thing crashes, it’s going to be UGLY for a very long time.
They just kicked the can down the road, it was poised to drop when it started going back up, now it’s back to absolutely unsustainable increases.

Not a realtor. Buying very inexpensive Toyotas will pay off when shit hits the fan regardless.

Oh yeah! I get them mixed up. It starts with an e and its north.

Apparently overpriced and drastically over-rennovated. The listing says it was built in 1939, but there doesn’t appear to be any trace of 1939 anywhere.
![]() 01/22/2017 at 19:35 |

Wow. For Vancouver standards, that actually seems reasonable lol
Am I misinterpreting, or does Zillow estimate it to be worth $178k?
![]() 01/22/2017 at 19:38 |
|
Nope you are not mistaken, that’s their ZESTY-ment.
![]() 01/22/2017 at 19:43 |

As an east coast person, that seeems...quite reasonable?

I’m a blueberry farmer in a small coastal town in BC with a really temperate climate... which means it’s turned into a retirement town. A mobile home on the outskirts of town (and there’s not many of them) goes for around $200,000 right now.
Just hanging around hoping for another housing market collapse

It IS a little high, but like someone else mentioned it would make cheap income property for the new college students. As you are very aware Everett is a mishmash of nice homes and crappy ones jammed together so the neighborhood doesnt seem to affect the house price as much as the other more “planned” communities, so while I think it is priced a little high, it isnt too outrageous
Signed, a guy who just last year, sold a house about 5 blocks south of there.
