Not an action movie, not a car movie but a romance.
It also has one of the more underrated scenes, & movie songs.

I have been planning to watch this for a long time - since I saw Begin Again (also a great movie) from the same director.

*Sniffs air.
Is this the onset of a theme day coming on I smell?
Yes, yes it is.

Hot take: every cover of “Falling Slowly” is utter shit.

I agree. It’s a simple song in chords & rhythm, but very hard to get right.

And it’s not a musical. It’s a movie about music, but not a musical. This was a point of contention between my ex-wife and I.
It’s a fantastic movie.
I got a chance to see them live back in 2010. I was actually reviewing and photographing the show. Front row comp tickets and a photo pass = good times.

Normally, my music taste leans towards things like Sonic Youth, Against Me!, and a bunch of weird stuff, but I’m a sucker for a damn good song.

My taste is towards Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, any high energy head banging rock. A good laid back song strikes a chord with me.

I saw Judas Priest on the British Steel anniversary tour a number of years ago. So fucking good! The only bummer was that (probably for liability and insurance issues) Rob’s motorcycle isn’t actually turned on. The sound is pre-recorded and played through the P.A. Heck, the stage bike might even have an electric drive. I totally understand why, but I really wanted him to ride that bike around the stage.

Great movie and song.
Though I wouldn’t call it underrated, it won an Academy Award for Best Song.

Totally ignoring your point about the movie, I raise you:
