One of my regrets is that I never got to drive that car. Though I drove the crap out of the Rabbit, and was a VW owner until last year, when a drunk totaled my Golf.

You didn’t miss that much. I drove the Ghia to Hell and back with three passengers, all over the place. Sadly, the speedometer broke — twice — and I could never be certain exactly how far I’d driven.

It still would have been fun. Mrs. Ttyymmnn’s dad had an old square back that I drove once. The steering was absolutely shot, and it groaned like a $2 mule, but it was still fun.
