Double strength NYFRB. 10.7% ABV. Saving this monster for my next party...

Gib, gib to me.

Served with a Turf and Turf with Bearnaise sauce?

Every hard root beer I’ve had has tasted like a root beer that someone poured a regular beer into. Not a fan.

A Saturday last fall I had 2 and was then done for the night.

Must get some, I love that stuff

Ron Swanson approves.

I’m sure one will have me feeling good quickly.

On the other hand, their ginger ale is great.

If you have a Total Wine near you, that’s where I got it.

I got it at Total Wine, if you have any near you.

The other ones i’ve had were like that. Regular NYFRB has just a slight alcohol aftertaste. I’m sure this will be much stronger, of course.

I could not get over the “bready” aftertaste.

I have no idea what that is.

A beer and wine store.

On the plus side, it’s so sweet, it’s hard to drink more than one or two at a time.

Yeah, this is a bad idea. Most people who drink beverages like NYFRB don’t bother reading the Abv.

I disagree, I think they taste like root beer and cheap vodka lol

I prefer the Henrys stuff. Their ginger ale is pretty awesome.

Higher ABV beers like that tend to be fairly sweet. I’m a big fan of Garún, it’s an Icelandic porter (or stout? pretty sure it’s a porter) at 11%, lots of fruity sorts of flavours to it, and very smooth.
