!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
And the dealer wants $48k. Is this too good/too bad to be true? lol

Apparently its also traveled the world in its journeys...

42K / 67k km in 2 years is nothing, i did just under that in the first year with my Lancer.

High-end rental or lease vehicle, could be??
Maybe someone else remembers, too? It seems like a co-op exotic car club in Manhattan had a late model, hi-miles black F-Type for sale a few weeks ago. Similar not-unfair, not-unattractive price but the history would probably make an enthusiast buyer think hard
FWIW Enterprise Exotic is a great concept...they have a huge branch at ATL airport (iirc rent an i8 for $850/day, rack rate lol) [the red F is in Chamblee, an ATL suburb]

Damn....

It’s possible. Someone in my building uses a F-Type as a DD, even in the winter.

Nice :) I wanna be that guy, hopefully...
![]() 01/13/2017 at 09:44 |

Used as a DD in Atlanta during winter? Are you crazy, you need 4WD and snow tires for the one every three years when it snows.
/M3 is doing just fine on the summer performance tires

and continued for the following 5 years averaging 60k km per year.
speedo reads 635k km at present.

I don’t live in Atlanta (though I’ve spent a lot of time there on business), up here in the frozen north (Canada).

Jaguar of Knoxville has 2(!!!) SVRs for some reason. Ones used with less then a 1000 miles
![]() 01/13/2017 at 10:24 |

Might actually be a good sign. Most of its life it was reliable enough to be out there stacking miles instead of sitting idle in the service department.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 12:22 |

If this was a manual, I’d be half-tempted to give them a call and a lowball, lol.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:23 |

The market rate for these cars is at least $15-20 k on top of what they’re asking for - which is when you ignore the miles (I mean you have 2 more years of Jaguar warranty, so I’m not worried).
I think $10k should be quite enough for a manual swap?
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:25 |

You have a good point. Counter point is this car is due to fail very soon. It’s been driven for most of its failure-free life already lol
This is exactly what I’m torn about - are high mileage Jags good or bad? lol
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:26 |

Whoa....I wonder what happened there ._.

The salesmen said the guy buys and sells cars all the time. They know him on a first name basis bimonthly from what I could tell.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:33 |

Yes of course. Of course he buys not one, but two rare but new Jaguars exotics all the time, only to get rid of them in a few months!
Who does that (and why can’t they adopt me!)?
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:37 |

There’s a guy in Nashville that has now owned 4 Aventadors. Every time a new variant comes out he buys it. Coupe->Convertible ->40th(?) Anniversary->SV
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:42 |
|
That is officially the least creative/laziest person I’ve heard of.
I don’t blame anyone who buys an Avenador once.
But you bet I have a better way to spend $400k, 4 fucking times.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 13:50 |

He’s also owned a Veyron, MP4-12C, 570, Raptor, and a few more expensive things but not any Ferraris.

I’m probably wrong, but I think a manual F-Type S could be a sought-after collectible, so a matching VIN would be necessary.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 14:50 |

If you’re buying it as a collectible Jaguar, your chances are slim today lol
![]() 01/13/2017 at 14:51 |

It sure seems like he’s trying to spend all they money (or a lot of what) he has....ask him to call me? :D

Wife was a founding member of Facebook. Another guy who lives in Nashville and has a same car habit was a leading developer for the Diablo Game Series I believe.

Damn.
So what’s their response to my adoption request? lol
![]() 01/13/2017 at 15:01 |

I don’t know these guys personally haha. The only I actually know only has a Carrera GT, Jaguar XJ220S, XJ15, RUf 911, MP4-12C, 512BB, S63 and G65.
![]() 01/13/2017 at 15:02 |

Haha, exactly - but maybe, just mayyyybe , because of its beauty, rorty exhaust and the fact the manual will be long since dead, in 30 years it’ll be something. But probably not. LOL.

Best way to have a classic car when it’s new is murder the owner and put the car in a barn for years to lose the heat. Or be very rich. Why do you think there are so many barn finds? Lol

Lol That’s an impressive collection :)
