No, seriously. There’s a state of emergency. I am stuck at home when there’s only a quarter inch. The one time Georgia actually tried to prepare and it’s 100% unnecessary...

Kinja'd!!!

Maybe I’ll go out and rotate my tires or something. I dunno what else to do today.

I’ve got a couple of inches by me, the M3 isn’t going anywhere.

Whaaat? I thought you lived fairly close? You’re the one by Lake Lanier, right? Or is that someone else?

Regardless, I’m jealous. If I’m going to be snowed in, I would prefer to at least have some snow to walk around in. My favorite thing during the storm years ago was just watching people get stuck at the bottom of a hill nearby.

It’s so embarrassing. Until now, it made sense when we closed down. We don’t have plows. We don’t NEED plows. We can’t buy snow tires in-store. We don’t include winter driving in driver’s ed. So just an inch on the roads is a big deal.

But then this. They did the thing that everyone likes to joke about them doing. The thing that we have never actually done before. They closed down for nothing at all.

Back in the late ‘80s we lived in Grand Junction, which is over on the Western Slope by the Utah border. They don’t really get a lot of snow there. I remember one winter we got a storm that gave us something like 2-3 inches and the city was paralyzed for three days. I made a ton of money shoveling walks because most of our neighbors didn’t even own snow shovels.

There’s a guy who’s been driving his Hellcat through the snow and ice where I’m at.
