yikes, and those are the FRONTS of the houses right? and not just the servants access to the back of the home?
basements still a thing over there? underground garages?
just hard to imagine willfully buying a house with that poor of access........

Most of these homes have an alley, so usually a detached garage is level with the entry of the home on the other side.

thanks, i was having a hard time just looking at that slope behind the ranchero. its steeper than the pitch of most roofs. the alley makes plenty of sense......
