and the want is strong. Same goes for the GT350 I saw this fall.

Mind you, this is in SE Minnesota (a place I am not from originally) so any sort of car that is “unusual for the area” or a truly rare specimen can suddenly evoke unusually strong feelings of shock and awe.

(There is hardly any car culture in this area and it sickens me.)

Daily life consists of throw away vanilla cars, trucks and sport utilities. Heck, I consider my Infiniti G35 Coupe a rarity in this area.

So, to see a badass lil’ hot hatch like the Focus RS was the highlight of my day:

There’s always three or four of them at the rallies. I’m working on figuring out a way to drive one of them.

Yikes. Normally see 2-3 a day in Seattle, plus a few parked in driveways on my way to work. Those blue accents sure are pretty

I saw this GT350 in a parking lot a few weeks ago. Only one I’ve seen so far. Fit and finish is typically Ford awful up close, but overall I love it especially in this color. I’ve only seen one RS running around. It was also dark gray, and looked pretty awesome - but it doesn’t exactly stand out around here because there are so many modified Focus’s running around.

Only difference I see is the stripes are blue instead of black and a little less dirt... what am I missing?

Yeah that one I saw definitely needed a bath. But at least someone was out driving it (parked at a busy restaurant at 5:30 pm) rather than hoarding it hoping it will appreciate some day.

That’s just how they are. It has an inner pipe with these tips over it that are chrome outside and black inside have a few holes in the bottom of them. It looks good from a distance but chintzy up close. I noticed it too and looked it up when I got home to see if it was standard - it is. Here is what I could find on Google:

I’m in a fairly RS friendly area, I think. I’ve seen every color on the road now. However, I’ve only seen GT350s at the track or autocross, never saw them driven particularly hard as the track driver was nervous about wrecking and the autocross guys were total novices :(

I have to say, my RS attracts a lot of attention in the nitrous blue color. It REALLY stands out in the sea of boring shades of gray cars around here.
