CES is often a dreadful time for cars. Automakers put forth concepts that’ll never see the light of day in production form, or technology you’ll start seeing in cars 5-10 years from now.
You’ll also see the birth of completely random automakers that will disappear into the history of vaporware merely a few months after their debut.
Today I present to you, the latter. Meet the Eli Zero Electric. And as you probably guessed, Eli is some freshly created company from China with little more than a less-than-useless website and (so far) rendered photos of their product. Their rendered photos allude to a range of 372 miles when fully charged...which will be the only information you can gather from this concept.
It ultimately answers the question “what if you were take a Twizy and make it slightly more like a smart fortwo?”
In the looks department, the Zero is effectively a Twizy with the seats of a smart and a grille inspired by recent Daimler concepts.
You can see them at CES this year.

At least it looks more original than the last Chinese Twizy copy:

There’s no way there’s 372 mi worth of batteries in there.

Could be worse:

It looks a lot better than the real Twizy.

I guess they took the Twizy falling into the three wheeled quadricycle category a bit too serious, haha.

I believe it’s possible, but not in a vehicle that’s about the quarter of the size of a Tesla! :)

I didn’t even see that joke coming!!! 10/10 would laugh again :)

Agreed, plus it doesn’t have the unfathomably bad tandem seating that the Twizy has (apparently it’s impossible to get in and out of back there).
