You know that feeling when you’re walking along with your nose in your phone and suddenly you stumble across $1.15 million in the street? Me either, but this is likely as close as I’m going to get.
Notice the little popped vent window above the engine bay?
Oh yeah - there was 570 GT or something or other there too, but did you see the P1?!

That popped vent is there to block the dash cams...

Well they can’t ticket it because it’s unregistered, so I hope they tow it.

That $10k kickback donation to law enforcement officials says it’s not going anywhere it’s owner doesn’t want it to.

That 570GT is a press car, and I’d assume the P1 is as well

Why?

Because unregistered cars parking in New York is a plague. People leave junk cars all over - especially in the outer boroughs - with no plates on them and it takes months for them to get removed while the rest of us circle the block looking for a space. This isn’t a museum, it’s a public street. People need to park their cars. It’s fine for an hour, and I’m sure he won’t keep it there much more than that because it would get keyed.

Damn that’s crazy. I’ve lived in the Bronx my whole life but have never ran into that and I rarely see unregistered cars parked for long periods of time. What I have seen are mechanically wrecked cars parked for long periods of time accumulating ticket after ticket due to alternate side street cleaning.
You know what’s a real plague to me with regards to outer borough parking? Abandoned/For Sale Churches that STILL have “No Parking” DOT signs. These buildings have been closed down since I was a kid yet the stupid fuckin signs are still there and people still get tickets for parking there. I want to take a fuckin saw and chop the damn signs down.

The taillights on the P1 are some of my favorite things ever.

Curb cut enforcement is a very strange thing, because it’s really up to the local precinct about how they want to handle it. Over where I am in Queens they don’t ticket cars without the owner of the property present or an offer of proof from a tenent that they need the vehicle moved. Then they usually wait an hour and if the car’s still there they’ll tow it. What’s also crazy, though, is NYPD is responsible for enforcing the rules for curb cuts, but those are established by the building department. So, at least by me, that means they’ll ticket/tow cars in front of
illegal
curb cuts because they can’t tell the difference. It’s a mess.

Really? I could understand that. I just find it odd that I’m staring at fans, there.

The entire back end of the P1 is awesome. I love the taillights because they’re so unorthodox.

That dumpster isn’t usually in the street. I think they may have placed it there on purpose as a barrier, but I was thinking the same thing. It was ruining the head-on shots.
