If they use the M6 that would be great, the waste gate sound of that engine is extremely awesome!

It’s their garage 56 hydrogen car probably.

I completely forgot about that. It’ll still be interesting to watch.

no.

Yeah... not a fan of that chassis though. They need to move to the M4.

Is it just me or has BMW nearly disappeared from racing? When I was a kid E30's, E36's and even E46's seemed omnipresent in the lower classes

That would be cool too, however would the straight 6 have enough tuning capabilities to make it competitive?

They’re still prominent players in DTM and other GT3/GTD series’ like IMSA. But you’re right, they’re not as out there as they used to be.

Oh no, they’d bring over that 4.4l V8 that they’ve been wrenching on for a decade. All they did for the M6 was slap a couple turbos on the V8 they used in the Z4.

My bad, I thought they had to stick to the production car engine layout.

Nah, BMW would be dead in the water if they did that.
That’s also what made the Z4 so freaking awesome, and one of my fav racecars of all time. Big ass V8 in that tiny chassis.

The M6 GT3 is basically a reskin - it’s not far off from the space frame that was under the Z4
