Don’t listen to him.

We’ve had an ‘08 A4 since new and have put over 80,000 miles on it. It needed piston rings under factory warranty at 20,000 miles. But besides that, literally nothing.

Not finding a lot of manual Audi avants around me. None that are feasible at least. That A4 I posted before was nice, but $6,500 for something that old with that many miles... That’s why I was browsing comparably newer A3s. Seem to be affordable and there’s a few more manuals out there.

Nah, they burn oil, and the early ones had cam/injection pump follower problems, but they generally are pretty stout. All the plastic stuff bolted to them is crap, but the engines themselves are solid.
