$200 is less than scrap value. NP. (if you have the space/knowhow)

Sounds like someone needs money to put crack in their pipe.

Maybe not, actually. Before I bought my V40 for dirt cheap , the previous owners were looking into scrapping it, and the highest quote they got was $105. That’s it. For a 3,000lbs car.

Interesting, there’s one that has been for sale for a few months now near me that is running and driving: https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/574134…

Huh, I got $250 for my ‘97 Buick LeSabre, and they even came and picked it up. (Only 500lbs more than the Volvo)

How long ago? The price of steel has recently dropped like a rock.

paint is ugly, interior is worn, but a Verde is rare-ish and that’s not too much money....

It’s insane how far it has dropped. Terrible news for dismantlers, but this is great for industry.

It’s funny how owners of De Dion Alfas always seem to have quite a few parts (engines, gearboxes, suspension bits) lying around. Been there, done that.

I am not terribly sure but that kit seems to be a Veloce (or similar to a Veloce one) as sold (optional) for the UK market 75s.

75 are extremely satisfying cars to drive if in decent condition. I suppose Milanos too, even though they are a fair bit heavier.

That V6 is also seriously addictive...

I do prefer the sound of the 2.5 (partner owns a GTV6).

The performance of the 3.0 is in another level altogether, however.
