1991 ford explorer 2-door 4x4. It’s cheap and it runs. Thoughts? 135k miles, new tires and sound system. Looks like a good deal to me :)

Anything running with a title for under $1k is a good deal.

I found a non running but complete CB350 on CL for $100 yesterday. A fantastic find. Sold an hour after the guy put it up. Thanks Obama!

Listing the “value” the wheels and tires is never a good sign.

I think early two-door Explorers are prime winter beater candidates. If it runs NP.

Ahem...135,000 on the ENGINE, not the body. Gotta watch for frame rust on this one.

Not so much in the Pacific Northwest, assuming it lived there all or most of its life. No salt=little rust. I mean always check but it’s probably alright.

I should warn all that there are many areas here in WA where they do salt the roads if it snows. On HWY 2 they salt the hell out of the road. As for the town of Carnation, I can’t say.

Really?? I live in Oregon and they don’t salt anything ever, I always thought WA was the same way. Case in point, I’m on the east coast for school right now and my 2nd Gen 4Runner is the only one I ever see, back home they’re still all over the place.
