What are our thoughts on the RCR Falcon’s wheels?

Kinja'd!!!

Personally, not a fan. Look a little donky.

They make it look like a cartoon... it’s questionable

Too much surface area. Oddly enough, would have worked better without a thinline whitewall. The only way to make these work work, would have been with a larger baby moon, and that’s hard, because babby munz are mostly in only a couple of standard sizes.

I prefer original or Mercury dog dishes on no more than a 15" wheel. In fact, mine has the original dog dishes on 14s and 15s with thinlines. Looks WAY better, IMO.

I understand why he did it, but I’m not a fan.

I say drill some holes in the steelies

An apples-to-oranges comparison.

More of a tangerines to oranges comparison, IMO. If the car is going to have some type of contoured steelie (or, if you prefer, citrus) that’s oversize, FS simply would like them to have some factor (like a perforated steelie instead of a smoothie) that helps bring down the apparent size relative to the tire and which makes it a smaller color spot in the wheel well. Which looks better and doesn’t crowd out the tire and its accent whitewall.

All respect to Mr. Regular and the quality of the build....but good lord the wheels are just terrible.

I know the brake situation didn't leave him much choice, but too much wheel not enough tire

It’s not for me. I think it makes the car look like it’s standing on tip-toes.

Not a fan. Too much face, not enough sidewall. Looks like it’s riding too high as well. Should have gone with either smaller diameter steelies, or more sidewall. Regardless that thing needs to come down, looks like a damn 4x4.

Honestly, I think they look great and match the car perfectly. And as much as their increased size gives hint to the fact that the Vagabond Falcon is more than it seems, I think the hubcaps in the center are a little too large.

They really do. There’s no way to make them look decent, though. The problem is that he was trying to make it look somewhat original, but it’s not possible with the mods. It would look better with the original wheels and sidewall, but then he’d have to suffer those tiny brakes of the era, which are downright dangerous in modern traffic.

The original wheels are tiny 13"s. Mine has 14"s in front, 15"s in rear, and this kit fits perfectly fine behind the front wheels, while using brake components from more modern and heavier cars. There’s a cheaper four lug kit, which also doesn’t fit behind the 13"s, but sane sized steelies on the lug pattern in either case are very, very available.

Too big, but apparently tire size choice (and clearing the brakes/body) was the limiting factor.

And I think a sponsor gave them for free/cheap.

I like the color match but there’s too much wheel and not enough tire.
