I’m just a bit surprised; usually something like this happens and people freak out like the world is ending. I haven’t seen it reposted anywhere.

Ironically, a $0.15 hike will put prices around me right at $2/gallon, so there’s not much to complain about yet.

They’re currently trying to build a pipeline through my state and there has been a lot of opposition so I see these pipeline leak articles and headlines all over FB. I haven’t heard about this specific one, but I’m sure it’ll pop up soon.

Gas spikes around 15-20¢ every once in a while here. If it goes back to $3/gal then I'll get upset, but it's not like I can stop driving anyway. It's like taxes, gotta pay it.

The sad part is that all the tools are available to maintain and inspect pipelines, but are seldom utilized BEFORE a failure.

Maintenance costs money, y’know.

But hoping for things to stay good forever and never need attention? Absolutely free.

I know exactly what you mean. Every time a major component breaks on one of the ships, the government is like “why wasn’t this part supported!?”

Our response is usually along the lines of “well if you would actually BUY the parts we recommended...”

Yeah, I think the people in charge of these decisions are the ones who refuse to spend money maintaining their cars and then have a tantrum when said car breaks.
