A co-worker was driving it and it spectacularly overheated, taking the engine with it. Along with the trans being almost gone, it would take nearly $5k to get it on the road. It’s dead. THE AVEO IS DEAD.

You can’t kill an Aveo...it’ll just simply live on in other Aveos.

Well it technically still lives in Mexico, for some reason:

Good riddance. Horrendous little things. I pray I never have to actually get in one.

That’s my fear. Though after our Duramax and the Aveo, maybe his addiction to Chevy’s is fading. A Fiesta Ecoboost would be nice.

I drove one a few years ago when I worked as a valet. Everything on it felt loose, sloppy and worn out. It looked quite new, however, so out of curiosity I switched it from trip to odometer to see how many miles it had. 183. No, not thousand. One hundred eighty three. That shifter was the sloppiest, floppiest thing I ever experienced, and it spoke volumes about the quality of the car.

I actually had a video on my phone of me going through the gears. There are inches of play in gear. It make a Tacoma’s shifter feel sporty.
