I’d steal that bumper cover and sell it on ebay for mad profit.
“FS: Non-dented, pristine Camry bumper cover in that universal grey color.”

Only problem is that zero Camry drivers care. Half still haven't noticed.

WHERE’S THE CAMRY DENT

I thought those gold badges where a dealer install. At one time every other Camry had the gold badges over here.

What do the gold badges mean!?

With a six-character (123-ABC format) Washington license plate. Nice.

Honest question, do gold badges mean/ have meant anything on any car? I remember some Oldsmobiles had gold badges too
![]() 09/14/2016 at 20:31 |

I think it means someone paid more. Fancyyyyy
![]() 09/14/2016 at 20:32 |

It means an SC400 cost too much that year.

I meant when we’re not talking about fools trying to spruce up their shitty cars :(

It’s an option package I believe, usually seen on SEs (top trim)
![]() 09/14/2016 at 22:25 |

But you see it on all sorts of Japanese cars! Maybe it’s common for top trims to have the gold badging.
Nobody seems to know.

Looks like it was an option specifically to have gold-plated badges.
Which is the silliest thing ever. (Probably intended to increase dealer markup, really.)

Yeah, it IS stupid haha...
[closes seven tabs of gold-badged SC400s]

There’s plenty of options that I would never get on a new car, but if they’re on a used car, “eh, I didn’t pick it”...

correct. i have a few left over gold toyota badges in a drawer in my body shop. you usually only see them on black or dark green cars. grey is odd.
