I hate to stereotype any cars owners, and I'm sure that the majority of SUV owners are normal, courteous drivers

But Jesus, there are a lot of dickheads out there in SUVs who think that the fact that their axle is higher than my hood means that they don’t have to merge properly.

If I ever get a terminal illness, I’m going to go all Walter White, buy an Aztek, and leave a trail of Excursion side mirrors in my wake.

“Did you ever see a zipper that goes one tooth on the left, three teeth on the right?”

“No.”

i dont think people would challenge you if you drove something like this

Kinja'd!!!

I had a guy in a shiny F-150 try to push me out of a zipper merge. I just held my line. at the next light he was next to me and stared me down and I just laughed at him and did a quick take off as his lane was stuck in traffic.

I really should just get a car like this for my commute. Its very straight, through Detroit and I hate other drivers.

I drive a crossover. It’s only about 5'6" in height.

Crumple zones are those areas of other cars which are struck by a Land-Rover’s manly bumper. This is related to why there is no rear bumper - no peasant would dare strike one from the rear.

The bumper is so manly, that infact you instantly grow a lumberjack beard - non-ironically - the instant you sit in one.

Unrelated, but where do you get your jag parts from. Rear caliper is binding so need to replace it, could probably get it from Rock Auto but I’d prefer a Atlantic British/Rovers North type place.

I merge like a dickhead because I drive a 4000 pound vehicle with 150 horsepower. It’s actually impossible to merge properly without using my size unless the on ramp is like a half mile long.

It’s all about proportion, with the amount of crossovers on the road, it’s just normal that you see more asshole crossovers drivers than diesel-manual-brown wagon asshole drivers.

I force the zipper merge until the cars nearly touch. Then I make the following face when the person behind me goes insane.

My first stop is SNG Barratt ( http://sngbarratt.com/ ), they have a huge selection of OEM parts and usually lower cost aftermarket as well. They’re based somewhere in New England and have really helpful staff. Their site is a bit weird to navagate, because it’s organized by Jag’s (and theirs, which you can get as a PDF) parts manuals

Welsh Enterprises is another good one. They’re more aftermarket and refurb, but sometimes have lower prices. The only problem with them is that shipping is ~$15 for most things, no matter how small, so it isn't really worth it if you're just getting door clips or something.
