Walking through the parking lot at work I spotted a C-class of this generation this morning and it struck me that it’s just such a great design. I’ve always liked the W204, but even now nearly 10 years old, it’s a great design in my oppo-pinion. Clean, crisp lines, classic shape, no extraneous design and nice wheel options.
I think it’s a design that’s going to continue to age really well. What say you Oppo? Agree? Think I’m nuts? What other new-ish car designs do you think will age gracefully?

I think it looks pretty dated already.
Actually I don’t think any of MB’s designs from the early-late 2000s will age well.

Most mid to late 00's vehicles look meh to me, that perception will change though. As for the W204, I rather like it, much more than the horrible W203 and the rather conservatively styled W202.

The C- and E-classes from this era are both among my favorite mass market designs of all time. Perfect balance of traditional, blocky Mercedes design with modern curves. The GLK was the first one to get inside my head — at first I thought it was hideous, but soon I really started to like it. Nothing else looks like it, much like the C and E. These cars are almost all 100% unique, which is rare today.

the later W204s looked great (the ones witht he more odd-ball headlights, not the retabgular ones.

Really? I (obviously) still think they look great. The W203 on the other hand, looks wayyyyyy dated now.

Honestly the last classic SL is R129 especially the facelifted 1998-2002 years

I like ‘em both - I’m glad they didn’t try to integrate curvy styling with the nice angles in the facelift. They kept it honest.

Same! I really love the late-2000s MB lineup. Very classically styled to me.

I liked the W202 - it was way conservative, but the W204 is a bit too. I think the W204 is a better successor to the W202 than the W203 was.

I’m not a huge fan on Benzes but this is one of my favorite looking sedans made in the last 10 years. Something about it works so well.
I think the E90 3 series is going to age pretty well too.

The W202 isn’t too bad imo, it has that solid feel to it. Unlike the 203, which is a huge piece of junk. A friend of mine owns a C Wagon and it’s a rusting on all kinds of corners. Only the engine is still pulling strong after 130k miles.

One of the best looking sedans/coupes ever. Love the AMG black and even live the base models. Its a classy and unique design, only problem is a bit down on power compared to its competition like the F10. But unlike the f10 even the wagon looks good

One of my favorite sedans ever. Even better than a 3rd gen TL.
