I did my front rotors and pads, as well as the front sway bar links on the Ford. Not to hard, with the help of good ole Youtube. Next up, the rear drums.

Youtube and forums are great resources. With them almost anyone with some form a common sense can do pretty much all basic maintenance.

You tube is a great resource. Just make sure to do only one drum at a time, may need to reference how they go back together. Oh yeah and grab yourself a set of needlenose vise-grips. And one of those goofy spring compressing screwdriver looking tools.

How does one use such a tool?

There will be a coil spring on a rod through the middle of each one of brake shoes. You use the tool to compress the disc that retains the spring then you turn it 1/4 turn to disengage the retainer and allow the spring to be removed. The tool has serrations that grip the disc as you turn it. I've used needlenose to do it before I had the tool, but never again, that one tool is worth getting, same with the vise grips, but the vise grips can be used for other stuff too.
