For all the shit I take in life (especially on the FP) for being an intense Buick fanatic, it’s so nice when an industry design giant like Ian Callum (F-Type, DB9, etc) shows love for the same thing you do.

Who doesn’t love a Riviera? Sergio Pininfarina said it was “one of the most beautiful American cars ever built”.

I know! But still, most auto enthusiasts don’t seem to get it.

51 years later, it’s still a contemporary Coupe design...

Also, Loewy and Lyons were huge fans of it.

Anyone that calls this ugly is not an enthusiast.
Unfortunately, when people think of a Buick, this is what usually comes to mind.

I had a 1965 Buick Wildcat back in college. 401 nailhead big block. Damn that car was fun. It was kind of rusty, but it was such a neat car.
No-post 2 door coupe. Giant front bench seat. Enough room in the engine bay to stand in. Rode like a dream and had torque for dayz.

Yeah, or this.
The weird part to me is, why don’t people think about this when they hear “Pontiac”?

Oh yes....the mag wheels, the side pipes...the chrome....!!!!!
These used to be pretty cheap, but like a lot of older cars never considered classics in their time, the prices have gone up on the Wildcats.
