I found the original shift knob for my BMW in the box of parts the previous owner gave me. Certainly looks a lot better than the generic pattern one on it currently.

I had one of those in my E30. I think I kept it and used it in my friends E32, which was auto but it had a broken shift knob, and then it made its way to my E21. I don’t remember if I still have it somewhere, or if it went when the E21 sold
